What to Pack For Your First Night in Your New Home

The first night in your new home is an exciting experience. After all of the hectic preparation of moving, preparing your overnight bag for your first overnight stay in your new place is the final step prior to being officially moved in. Keep in mind these bags will need to be separate from your moving boxes, and transported in your own vehichle. We’ve broken down a few overnight bag scenarios for you & your entire family.

  • Personal Documents: Including drivers license, passports, social security cards, birth certificates, etc. Keeping these on hand and in a safe place while moving is crucial to avoid losing them.
  • Medications: Any medications that is needed should be packed in personal bags to avoid losing them, and so they are on hand during your first night in your new home. This should include any medications your child may also need.
  • Toiletries: this can include,
    • Toothbrush & Toothpaste
    • Haircare products (i.e hairbrush, curling iron, shampoo & conditioner, etc.)
    • Skincare products (i.e facial cleanser, moisturizer, etc.)
    • Razor/Shaving Items
    • Soap/Body Wash
    • Toilet Paper
  • Electronics & Charging Chords:
